Stand-Up Paddle Boarding Lesson for Seniors

Our small group beginner-oriented stand up paddle boarding programs will introduce adults 60+ to paddle boarding. All equipment, including paddle boards (either inflatable or hard board), paddle, paddle leash, and life jackets are provided. We will help participants enter and exit their SUP from the dock and learn the basics of paddle boarding, including: how to stand up, turn, paddle forward, and stop. Once SUP participants are confident on their boards, they may choose to paddle with the senior kayaking group for a longer distance paddle or participate in future SUP lessons to hone their skills.

Our programs begin and end at the Connecticut River Greenway Park, a city of Northampton park located behind the River Run condos on Damon Road. Please note: properly fitted life jackets are required to be worn at all times during our programs.

Fees

  • $10 - $20 per session sliding scale.
  • A family, friend or caregiver may join at no charge
