Private Programs

 

If you have a large group, are looking for a program in a specific location not found on our schedule, need a more personalized experience, or the timing of our regularly scheduled programs doesn't meet your needs please get in touch for a quote for a private program.  We'll be able to give you an exact quote and discuss your scheduling needs by phone or email. 

Read on to get an estimate of what a private program may cost:

 

• $80/hour per staff member.  We will include travel time and a combined 2 hours for program set-up and clean-up in a quote.  Though exact ratios will depend on the needs of your group, a ballpark estimate is:
  • 1 staff member for up to 4 participants
  • 2 staff members required for 5 - 10 participants
  • 3 staff members required for up to 25 participants
    • We can serve larger groups in conjunction with larger events - for example, an agency-wide picnic where we are also running a cycling demo
• $1/mile from our office location to program location based on Google Maps
• Our rates include $2 million in liability insurance, the expertise of our trained and certified staff,  program equipment and supplies

 

Example 1:

A private 3-hour cycling program for 10 individuals on the Nashua River Rail Trail in Groton:

Staff Time:

• 3 Program Leaders for:
  • 4 hours of program
  • 2 hours set-up and clean-up
  • 3.5 hours of travel time
  • TOTAL: 9.5 Hours X 2 Staff = $1,520
• Travel:  88 miles each way = $176
• TOTAL PROGRAM COST:  $1,696

 

Example 2:

A kayaking trip from Hatfield to Northampton for a group of 12 (not, we have 10 single kayaks and 2 tandem kayaks available for groups)

Staff Time:

• 3 Program Leaders for:
  • 3 hours of program
  • 2.5 hours set-up and clean-up
  • 1 hour of travel time
  • TOTAL: 6.5 Hours X 2 Staff = $1,040
• Travel:  7 miles each way X 2 trips to Hatfield for trailer and boats shuttle: = $28
• Group handles its own transportation logistics for participating individuals
• TOTAL PROGRAM COST:  $1,068
