Our Trikes

Since our founding in 2001, we have offered a wide variety of recumbent trikes at our independent cycle and adaptive cycling programs! As recumbent trikes and options for adaptive cycling improve, we update our fleet of cycles.

Singles

Villager
- Comfortable position for neck and back.

Titan
- Sizing: this particular program cycle is able to support a higher weight capacity (400 lb) than others. Horizontal handlebars with brakes on each side.
- Comfortable seat with extra lumbar support.
- Adjustable seat position and height.
- Fairly lightweight and easy to steer.

KMX K-3
- The KMX K-3 is a trike designed for people with smaller bodies, including children. The KMX features a low center of gravity with the trike seat only 2 inches off the ground, a reclined seat designed for comfort and speed, and a lightweight frame.
Rider weight limit: 145 lb
Rider height range: Approximately 4’0″ – 4’10”

Triton TR-001R Small Trike
The Triton is perfect for people with smaller bodies, including children, to have the experience of cycling. Ride in comfort and style on this cruiser!
Rider weight limit: 220 lb
Rider height range: Approximately 3’8″ – 5’2″
Wheelchair Tandems


Opair
- This bike allows both the front passenger and caregiver to zip along the bike path and cover some ground.
- The Opair features an electric-assist system to help the caregiver power the bike.
- Person in the back, steers, brakes and pedals.
- Person in the front gets a great view!
- Front seat features include arm rest, adjustable foot rest and lap belts.

Velo Plus
- Platform design allows for a participant to ride while remaining in their wheelchair.
- The Velo Plus features a strong electric-assist system to offset the weight of the wheelchair and participant.
- Person in the back steers, brakes and pedals.
- Front platform may be lowered in order to roll a wheelchair onto the platform. Straps keep the wheelchair stationary while on the trike.

Tandems


Tandem Rover w/ IPS (Independent Pedaling System)
- Person in the front steers, brakes and pedals. Caregivers and/or PCAs often occupy this role.
- Participant rides in the back and can pedal or rest if needed without affecting the movement of the trike.
- Both riders can pedal independently at their own cadence.
- Seats are adjustable. Chest straps, seat padding, and other adaptations can be added if needed.
- Foot plate pedals that hold the foot securely on the platform pedal are available.

Top End Excelerator
- Higher and more upright seat than other program handcycles.
- Bike is pedaled and steered with the hands. This bike shows a "glove" style hand grip that will hold a person's hands snugly in place with a quick release feature. Hand pedal grips can be swapped out to a different style.
- Pedal backwards to slow down and stop.
- Seat and foot rests are adjustable.

Intrepid Tourer
- Lower, reclining seat.
- Bike is pedaled and steered with the hands. Hand pedal grips can be swapped out to a different style.
- Squeeze brakes on sides of seat to slow down and stop.
- Wide, comfortable seat.

Freedom Ryder
- Lower, reclining seat.
- Brake is located below the hand pedals.
