Look Memorial Park, 300 N Main St, Florence, MA 01062, USA
Learn to play pickleball no matter your physical or cognitive abilities. Using adaptive equipment, friendly and knowledgeable volunteers, and staff we will break the game down so you can learn to play. We will then work on skills progression.
We will play outside at Look Park when the weather is nice. We will then play indoors when the weather is inclement.
Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in America. It is played on half of a tennis court using a wiffleball-type ball and using a lightweight paddle. We have sport wheelchairs available for those who use wheelchairs or for those who with balance issues or who are a fall risk. This is a very fun and social sport and is easy to learn.
This program is funded by an adaptive sports grant through the Veterans Administration and the Massachusetts Statewide Head Injury Program.
Please give us a call to sign up at 413-584-2052.
We are piloting this new program, so all are welcome based on available space. Priority is given to U.S. military veterans and people with brain injuries.
