DAR State Forest, 78 Cape Street, Goshen, MA 01032, USA
Pre-registration required. We will follow CDC guidelines. Masks must be worn at all times and social distance maintained. Group 1: Arrive at 11:00AM to sign in and get equipment. Activity is from 11:15 AM-12:45 PM Group 2: Arrive at 1:15 PM to sign in and get equipment. Activity is from 1:30 PM-3:00 PM
Join us for guided hiking with ice grippers and Snowshoeing activities at DAR State Forest in Goshen. Meet us outside in the main parking lot near the warming hut. Equipment and instruction provided by our knowledgeable and friendly program staff. We have two kick sleds available for use as well. Due to social distancing protocols, our staff can instruct participants and caregivers on the use of the kicksleds, but will not be able to assist in pushing the sled.
We will go together as a group. We will cover approximately 2-3 miles based on the group's ability and interest. We will cover flat ground, some gentle hills, and rolling terrain.
Funding provided by a grant through the Veterans Administration Adaptive Sports Grant and the This program is open to veterans and their loved ones. Funding is also provided by Mass State Rehabilitation's Statewide Head Injury Program.
What to bring: Dress for winter. Wear boots for snowshoeing, work boots or hiking boots are good. Hat, gloves, scarf. Dress in layers. Bring a small backpack with a water bottle and snack. Extra warm layers.

There is an accessible porta-potty on site. The warming hut is not open this year.
